Laparoscopic Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass
Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery is designed to help morbidly obese patients lose weight by reducing the amount of food that can be eaten during meals and limiting the amount of calories that are absorbed by the body. Dr. Manigat typically performs this weight loss surgery procedure through a laparoscopic approach to minimize patient discomfort after surgery and speed recovery. Sleeve Gastrectomy
Sleeve gastrectomy, also known as the gastric sleeve procedure, removes a portion of the stomach that secretes the hormone responsible for telling our brains when we are hungry. The procedure promotes weight loss by reducing the amount of food that can be eaten at any one time as well as suppressing appetite. Dr. Manigat performs sleeve gastrectomy surgery at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. Meet Dr. Manigat
Yves Manigat, M.D., F.A.C.S., our primary surgeon at Echelon Bariatric, has more than 30 years of surgical experience in bariatrics, cancer treatment, and general surgery. In addition to being board certified in general surgery, he is also a fellow of the American College of Surgery and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Manigat is also an educator and has lectured and published many articles about laparoscopy and other surgical topics.
